August-December is consistency. Whilst I know what you mean that they shouldn’t rely on other teams to lose, they still got higher points then the three below them. Actually, as you said, Hull only got 1 win out of 20-odd games. Why couldn’t Newcastle, Middlesbrough and/or West Brom catch them?
